Bairrada Private Tour: Visit to 3 Wineries, Sparkling Wine Tasting & Lunch

Bairrada is a wine region of excellence that produces high quality still and sparkling wines from its queen grape variety, Baga. On this tour you’ll get to know them both and taste the region’s most popular delicacy: roast suckling pig.

The day will begin at an iconic Bairrada Wine Estate, known for being one of the first in the region to bring innovative techniques to the production of sparkling wine and Bairrada table wine. 

At lunch, you’ll have the opportunity to savour Bairrada’s typical delicacy – roast suckling pig. If you don’t fancy that idea, this local restaurant has other typical Portuguese dishes waiting for you!

Next, we’ll visit a classic Bairrada sparkling wine cellar with over 80 years of history. Walk through its tunnels, see the 2 million bottles of sparkling wine and understand its production and ageing process. At the end, taste white and red DOC wines from Bairrada and a sparkling wine.

Finally, we’ll head to the last Wine Estate of the day, where we’ll witness the dedication and passion for wine production passed down through 3 generations.
