Who We Support

With our experiences, we want to show you not only some of the most breathtaking works of Nature but, also, some of the most admirable examples of Humanity.

Bagos D’Ouro

In the Douro Valley, the project that we decided to support is Bagos D’Ouro.

The work that they have been developing is truly honourable.
The Douro Region is filled with small towns, isolated localities and more modest upbringings. In some parts of it, having access to a proper education is more difficult than it really should be.

Realizing this part of the Douro’s reality, and knowing that some families do not have the access to certain “doors” because of financial hardship, made them create this Project in 2010. Bringing educational support to children coming from those families who struggle with economic and social difficulties became their main purpose.

They profoundly believe that Education is one of the keys to break the conditioning of a more fragile environmental situation. They also advocate for social inclusion and fight for equal opportunities, regardless of economic backgrounds.

So far, they have helped more than 400 people.

Projeto Germinar

Welcome to the Vinho Verde Region!

Everything about Germinar (which mean “to sprout”) is special and inspiring.
Deeply rooted in love, respect and compassion, this Project was created by Antonio Matos, helped and supported by Quinta do Soalheiro, with the purpose of integrating adults with cognitive disabilities and bringing awareness to equality of opportunities, germinating into the production of a unique wine.

Working with them, entrusting them the care of this specific parcel and giving a space where they can connect with the rhythms of Nature not only creates professional integration but, also, leads to a healthy personal and emotional growth.

Antonio is a wine maker, winegrower and senior social worker who gave birth to this Project that is a true example of integration and sense of community.

Associação MARAnimais

MARAnimais is an association on the north coast of Portugal whose mission is to care of lost and abandoned dogs and cats.

They rescue, feed, treat, sterilize and give affection to animals that have been deprived of shelter and safety.

The association is made up of many volunteers who use their “free” time to support our four-legged best friends, either by looking after them in their shelters or by welcoming them into their homes until they are adopted.

They also take those sweet angels to hospitals and nurse homes to bring joy, comfort and some sweet company to those who need it.

How admirable is that?

Thank you for helping us contribute to such a beautiful project!
